Three Step Process
Step 1: Grinding/Surface Removal
Before we can apply any epoxy, we need to ensure that the concrete surface is properly prepared. We start by grinding or shot-blasting the surface to remove any dirt, debris, or previous coatings. This step also ensures that the surface is porous enough to allow the epoxy to properly adhere.
Step 2: Base Coat
Once the surface is properly prepped, we apply a base coat of high-quality epoxy. This layer serves as the foundation for the entire system and provides excellent adhesion to the concrete. Depending on the condition of the concrete and the desired finish, we may add color chips or quartz to the base coat to create a more decorative look.
Step 3: Clear Coat
The final step is the application of a clear coat. This layer not only enhances the beauty of the floor but also provides additional protection against abrasion, chemicals, and UV rays. Our clear coat epoxy is specially formulated to resist yellowing and maintain its clarity over time.
